My son is autistic and was really struggling with algebra. He has been working with Dr. Jack for about a year and a half. Dr. Jack has done wonders with my son. He now quizzes his younger sibling in the car and is really comfortable in math. His teacher also told me that he has been helping other students in his class, which has given a big boosts to his social skills. I am grateful for Dr. Jack and all of his patience.

I highly recommend Dr. Jack Burkett at Quest Tutoring. Dr. Burkett helped my son Rafi to strengthen his core math skills. Rafi needed the math concepts explained to him step-by-step. Dr. Burkett took the time to thoroughly explain & continuously reinforce what was taught. Rafi always looked forward to attending each tutoring session. Dr. Burkett is very engaging and personable. Dr. Jack Burkett has changed homework time at our house. For years Math has been a constant struggle for us. My husband is a doctor and I have a BS but that did nothing to prepare us to do math with a middle schooler or highschooler. It was impossible for us to understand the new methods in which schools are teaching basic math. When we would try to teach our daughter our way it just led to confusion. Also, she wouldn’t get full credit on test work or homework because she wasn’t showing her work in the correct way. After lots of tears and power struggles, we started trying tutors. We went through quite a few before I asked the tutoring agency to stop putting me with tutors that were googling things. I told them I wanted the best math tutor they had and that is when I finally found Dr. Jack. He has lived up to his reputation. He’s an excellent tutor and is able to break down problems into bite-size steps. I think his greatest gift is the connection he has formed with my daughter and I would imagine other students. In the beginning, I was confused why they would spend time chitchatting at the start of their sessions but now I understand his method…. he connects with them in a fun way, gets to know them and possibly breaks the negative association with teachers and a subject they don’t like. After two years, I can honestly say it has been a complete game changer. We no longer sit at the table with tears and fits, trying to make her understand and us trying to figure out these new methods. She has her weekly appointment with Jack and if something is going on where she has a extra test or need more support we might even try to squeeze in a second session. She knows that he is there for her and it’s working. She’s maintained all A’s where Cs were more common. It has done wonders for self-esteem and she knows that he’s in it for the long-term. He’s not just doing this for the intern he’s here for her and our family for the long haul. I’m so grateful for Dr. Jack and I can recommend him wholeheartedly.
